New CSO, CISO appointments

The upper ranks of corporate security are seeing a high rate of change as companies try to adapt to the evolving threat landscape. August 21, 2019: IntSights adds Etay Maor to its executive team as CSO

Maor will lead the threat intelligence company’s security advisory practice. Previously, he worked  at IBM XForce, RSA and Trusteer. During his time with IBM XForce, Maor led the creation and delivery of the IBM XForce Cyber Range operations. At RSA, he conducted a transformation of its lab, implementing an automated and scalable model.

Maor is a frequent featured speaker at major industry conferences. He is often tapped by major news outlets for his insights into the cybersecurity news of the day.

August 20, 2019: David Shefter joins Landmark Ventures as CISO and venture partner

Shefter will lead the financial advisory firm’s cyber security practice, as well as its investment strategy for an expanding portfolio of cyber security clients and opportunities. He has successfully driven technical and business strategy at Ziften, substantial innovation at Citigroup, revenue growth at IBM, and expansion into new non-proprietary areas of innovation at DEC.
